Software Engineer
I worked for Badger Meter as a Software Engineer from December 2018 to November 2025. I spent my time building services to run on cloud infrastructure (AWS).
I started my career working as a data analyst at Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits. I made reports using SQL and VBA and wrote python/VBA scripts to automate operational tasks.
My first job was an internship at Delta Investment Management working under my dad and his business partner. I wrote Excel VBA programs to automate spreadsheets and backtest strategies.
I've worked off and on for Bay Area Chess giving chess lessons to kids in after school programs.
I began playing chess on chess.com in 2014 and have been playing regularly since. I started around a 600 rating (50th percentile) and reached a peak rating of 2612 (99.98th percentile). I started playing tournament chess in 2020 and became a National Master in 2025.
I made this chess bot in 2018 when I was learning to code. The AI plays around 1200 strength. Everything is written from scratch using JavaScript and React.
I have enjoyed working in Unity learning game development. I have had a couple projects over the years and I'd love to find time to make a game some day. Below is one of the projects I worked on for a build system.
The below images are of a modular build system. I made the 3D components using Blender and free textures. The geometry is modeled after Lincoln Logs. The components have connectors on them that allow them to connect with other components. In the game the components can be used like Legos to make structures. The system is designed to be adaptable. New meshes can easily be added to the system by adding connector components.
Recently I've been spending a lot of time doing AI assisted development with Claude from Anthropic. The power of AI assisted coding has blown me away and I'm excited to take on some bigger projects in the near future.
